Lighthouse began in 2003 with one mission: whenever people think about Indian food, we want them to think of Lighthouse.
More than two decades later, our mission and commitment to our guests remain the same. We extend our sincere thanks to all our loyal customers for the overwhelming love and support they have shown for our Indian cuisine throughout the years.

Gurpreet and Navneet Ranu are the proud owners of the Lighthouse Indian Kitchen franchise in Langley, BC. Together, they are committed to serving fine Indian cuisine inspired by the authentic flavours of India and creating a memorable dining experience for every guest.

Meet Gurpreet Ranu
Each morning at the restaurant begins with a quiet ritual. Gurpreet lights incense and plays Waheguru Simran, creating a moment of gratitude before the day begins and staying connected to his blessings, culture, and heritage.
His path through hospitality started at the dish pit. Determination and hands-on experience carried him into management, followed by eight years with Denny’s Restaurant, eight years managing Boston Pizza, and two years with Cactus Club. Along the way, he developed a deep understanding of restaurant operations, service, and the small details that help guests feel genuinely welcomed.
Gurpreet immigrated to Canada at nine years old and grew up with an enduring appreciation for authentic Indian cuisine. Owning an Indian restaurant became a natural continuation of that passion. Lighthouse—one of Surrey’s early Indian restaurants—matched his vision for sharing genuine Indian flavours and heartfelt hospitality with the community. Today, that vision has a home in Langley.
